Academy Council Member Bios...

Erica Siddall: I have been involved in church school governance since 2014, with a particular interest in standards and achievement. In my professional capacity, I sought to hold oil and gas companies to account, on environmental and social matters. In my private life, I love cycling with my family!"

Lee Ward: I joined the Academy Council as a Parent Governor in 2020. I have a professional background in sports development and leisure consultancy with a passion for the positive impacts of sport and physical activity on all ages, especially young people. Living in Chippenham with a young family I look forward to being able to help the school provide positive experiences to all it’s pupils and wider family.

Trevor Durston: I’ve been a governor of St. Peters since 2012 and chair of the Staffing and Finance Committee for much of that time.  I was chair of the Local Board for the academic year of 2019-20.  I am retired, but previously as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer I have worked in industry, served as a mission partner of the Methodist Church in Nepal for 11 years, and then as the International Director of The Leprosy Mission for 13 years.  I am currently on the leadership team of Sheldon Road Methodist Church and a Local Preacher in the North Wilts Methodist Circuit.

Carolyn Stell: I have been a member of St Peter's Academy Council since 2018 and have lived in Chippenham since 1985. As a primary school supply teacher working in local schools and with two grown up children, I am able to look at things from both sides of the classroom and am particularly interested in pupil progress and staff well-being. Away from work and the AC, and when not planning our next road trip, I can often be seen cycling around Chippenham.

Martin BovettI have been a member of St Peter's Academy Council (Local Board) since 2018 and have lived in Chippenham since the mid 1980's. I am a parent to a child in Y4 and both my wife and older child were pupils at St Peter's. I do property maintenance (self-employed) so I am able to offer practical advice on some premises matters, and as an active member of Sheldon Rd Methodist Church the Christian ethos of the school is important to me.

Imelda Barnes: I've been a member of St Peter's Academy Council for about two years.  I was born in Ghana, but I've lived in England for most of my life.  I've lived in Chippenham since 1993.  I have three grown up children, who were pupils at St Peter's primary school, and they enjoyed their time there.  As a Christian, the ethos of the school appeals to me and, I have always been impressed at the way they focus on the well being of the pupils and staff.
